As a Tech Interruption junkie, I was excited to catch up with Mike Schneider (@schneidermike) and Eric Leist (@ericleist) recently and got to play What the Tweet? These guys are super sharp and stay on the leading edge of social/mobile. Check out their other videos at http://www.youtube.com/AllenGerritsen or http://techinterruption.com
I'll be sharing an LBS case study on Tasti D-Lite at the upcoming LocNav event in San Jose, CA on October 19th alongside folks from Google, Nokia, Ebay, BMW and many more. It's not too late to join us! http://www.thewherebusiness.com/location-and-navigation-usa/
Some weeks ago I had the opportunity to share our use of foursquare with TV Tokyo (Channel 7.) As the popularity of the application grows in Japan, businesses are starting to engage with customers through check-in and mayor specials. This piece covers how retailers are integrating their promotions within the location-based community.

The authors Aaron Strout (@aaronstrout) and Mike Schneider (@schneidermike) are two of the sharpest guys in the industry and I highly recommend this great resource on LBS. Do you come from a land down under? Neither do I but I just had to try my first vegemite sandwich while here in Sydney. As much as I was hoping to like it, I’m afraid my taste buds were promptly offended. I would say that it closely resembles the taste and consistency of roofing tar. If you can eat this, I say good on ya mate! Maybe this is why I am not 6 foot 4 and full of muscle.
