This is NOT the London Bridge

Bridge

You probably know this, but the Tower Bridge here in London is commonly confused with the nearby London Bridge.
A big thanks to Boris Pluskowski @bpluskowski for providing some great travel tips while here for the Financial Times Innovate 2012 event. (#ftinnovate)

Foursquare Gains Popularity in Japan

Tokyotv

Some weeks ago I had the opportunity to share our use of foursquare with TV Tokyo (Channel 7.) As the popularity of the application grows in Japan, businesses are starting to engage with customers through check-in and mayor specials. This piece covers how retailers are integrating their promotions within the location-based community.

The authors Aaron Strout (@aaronstrout) and Mike Schneider (@schneidermike) are two of the sharpest guys in the industry and I highly recommend this great resource on LBS. Customers Behaving Badly

Customerservice

I'm a little torn on this one. This sign showed up several months ago at a local fast casual restaurant that I frequent. Why does it matter if I am on the phone? I suppose that this is for the benefit of the folks in line but it comes off a little rude. So is this good customer service, or bad?

He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich

Vegemite

Do you come from a land down under? Neither do I but I just had to try my first vegemite sandwich while here in Sydney. As much as I was hoping to like it, I’m afraid my taste buds were promptly offended. I would say that it closely resembles the taste and consistency of roofing tar. If you can eat this, I say good on ya mate! Maybe this is why I am not 6 foot 4 and full of muscle.
